How you can help

Become a listening volunteer

Our Listening Volunteers are warm and approachable, caring and reliable. They are well trained to be able to support a young person in a safe, supportive environment (for both our volunteers and our visitors). They are trained in active listening, which is a way of responding by focusing your complete attention on the other person, understanding and evaluating and communicating without judgement.

Community Volunteers

Our Community Volunteers are an essential part of the charity, providing information to our young people and local community. They are the public face of the charity so it is important that they are comfortable talking about wellbeing, mental health and suicide in public.

We rely on our Community Volunteers to help to raise the profile of our charity, campaigning and and supporting events throughout the year, whether it be running information stalls or presentations or awareness events at a school or at corporate events.
